Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
1. Overview
California residents have the right under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of their personal information. Analogous rights exist for residents of 19 other US states, including Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), and Texas (TDPSA).
2. Our Current Status
Your Company Ltd does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We may “share” information with analytics providers and ad networks for cross-context behavioural advertising — only when you have explicitly opted in via our cookie banner. If you reject the optional cookies, no sharing occurs.
3. Global Privacy Control
We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a binding opt-out. If your browser sends Sec-GPC: 1 we will:
- not initiate any sale or sharing of your personal information;
- not load analytics or marketing scripts;
- not show you the cookie banner.
You don’t need to submit a separate opt-out request when GPC is enabled — the signal itself is the opt-out.
4. Submit an Opt-Out Request
You can also opt out by emailing privacy@example.com from the email address associated with your account, or by signing in and visiting Settings → Privacy → Do not sell or share.
We will action verified requests within 15 business days. We do not require you to create an account or pay a fee to submit a request, and we will not retaliate against you for exercising this right.
5. Authorised Agents
You may designate an authorised agent to make a request on your behalf. The agent must provide signed permission from you, and we may contact you to verify the request.
